Tunbridge Wells Borough Council

The Maidstone & The Weald parliamentary constituency covers wards in two borough councils - Maidstone Borough Council and Tunbridge Wells Borough Council.

 

Tunbridge Wells Borough Council is composed of 48 Councillors representing 20 wards across the borough.  One third of the Council is elected each year except when a County Council election takes place once every four years.

 

The Conservative Party holds 41 council seats and the Liberal Democrats have 7.

 

The two Wards in Maidstone & The Weald which comes under Tunbridge Wells Borough Council are:

  • Frittenden & Sissinghurst
  • Benenden & Cranbrook
