Cllr Eric Hotson holds both County (10yrs) and Borough Council (20yrs) positions in addition to having been a past, and very much respected, Mayor of Maidstone. 

As a Borough Councillor he represents Staplehurst Ward and as a County Councillor he represents Staplehurst, Boughton Monchelsea, Loose, Chart Sutton, Sutton Valence and Langley. He is the Cabinet Member for Corporate Services on Maidstone Borough Council. Eric was Mayor of Maidstone in 2010/11 and became the first Conservative Leader of Maidstone Borough Council  for 25 yrs. Eric classes himself as a 'public servant' who takes great pride in representing residents in his Wards.
