
Peter Gosling, Treasurer MWCA
Peter’s career has ranged from teaching languages to translation, financial and general management in the UN, local government, and private sector, abroad in Europe and Africa. Now works from home as a free-lance translator
His volunteering activities began, longer ago than he cares to remember, with VSO in Madagascar, a year of very fond memories. Currently, he is a volunteer reader with Talking Newspapers for the Blind, a founder member of the International Centre for Birds of Prey, and has just become trustee and treasurer of the Friends of Animals League.
Learned house-building and came to love opera in Austria, keeps fit with weekly pilates, walking and gardening. Very happily married to Anne for over 30 years, and together they have accumulated a widely-scattered extended family of children and grandchildren, and, at home in Staplehurst, an assorted collection of dogs, cats, rabbits and chickens.
